More play time with scarfs!!

So I really loved the pic I did of Charlotte Lockwood with the scarfs so, I thought lets make it a bit of a beauty collection. So heres image 2 this time we got the ole scarf on like a bit of a turban. I particually loved prancing around the studio with this scarf on while my model was in hair and makeup. This is just one of the images they are a few more to come soo keep your eyes peeled for them popping up on my flickr.

Here is another shot from the studio day I spoke about earlier, we literally chucked cans of glitter on poor charlotte n then she left studio with all the makeup still on! what a legend aha she looked like a superhero with a glitter mask wen she left. This is just one of the images i shot i've decided glitter is a bugger!! good job Charlottle has good skin cos i couldnt really re-touch this image. I dunno where the flower idea came from really I just dreamt up the image one eve n then was like lets shoot it. I hope you like image, im busy editing a few more so if u wanna see more best look on flickr. Hopefully ill be getting a new website done soon with all my new work on n then u can look on thier.

Play time with some scarfs!

Sooo a little while ago, I got the team together for a fun portfolio building photo day of fun in my new studio in Newcastle. We took inspiration from something old ie the 1950 old hollywood films wen they wrap scarfs around their hair and then the whole roll idea came from having rollers your hair but just the shapes. We did a quick raid of the local charity shop n got some scarfs not bad for a pound ey?! A designer at the Autumn winter show of fashion week did something similar (Charles Anasatse if you know who that is) he's pretty cool so check him out.

Cover Of The Wessex Muse Magazine!!

At the end of my Second year at uni at AUCB in bournemouth I participated in thier summer show (exhibition). The picture I displayed was the one chosen for the cover of the August 2010 issue of Muse magazine which is pretty cool im thinking. So thank you to Rodger for looking at my work and liking it and then getting in touch haha. I think the magazine is distributed all over the south coast its a free mag so if you see one pick it up. The project that muse has printed was my final major project for second year you can see the rest of the series somewhere else on this blog as well as on my flickr. Thier not yet on my website but you can also view them on my joint site Outburst. I hope you like them.

Channel 4 Beauty Website

Channel four has set up a new Beauty section on thier website, and they have used some of my images, they chose these three from a collection called daisy from a few years ago. The shoot was with Ysalon for a newcomer entry to the British Hair awards.

Love to Have Hair Extentions

This year I was asked to shoot the advertising campaign for Love to Have Hair extensions. I was working with three models Sara as seen above, Ella and Izzy. The girls were great fun to work with and I was lucky that I got to choose the rest of the team that worked with me on the shoot so I had Angela and Les from Ysalon doing hair Julie Pattinson on make-up and two lovely assistants Amy Maidment who was also doing styling and Joe Hodgekinson. We shot for three days and did about a million looks I will post a few other images later on but for now here is one of my favorites. Also look out for the finished images in Miss Selfridge as well as House of Fraser and salons all around the country.

The June 2010 edition of Hair magazine I found out two of my pics made it to the top 1000 hair styles, check the pics out if you come across the mag.

Linea Clothing

I shot this collection for a line called Linea that is House of Frasers own brand of clothing. I shot it in the same location as my Uni project just used different parts of the camp to try and get a feeling of being somewhere foreign like South Africa. I wanted the images to be slightly preppy and a little retro almost 50's feeling to them. I really wanted them to look free and easy going. I shot with natural light and the colour scheme was to look bright and clean.

These images are some of the images I edited for my Second Year Uni project that was based on World War 2. I shot in an old army camp in Sopley in one day even though it was meant to be for two so with the second day I decided to shoot for Linea CLothing. I will put those images up soon too. Some of the images from this project were more successful than others but on the whole I am happy with the images and I have some others I will be editing soon that were a bit too experimental for uni but that I love.
